Apparently this guy thinks he is the next Jon Jones, entering the cage with Bones’ patented ‘spider crawl’.

But apparently his opponent thinks they are fighting with Vale Tudo or Pride rules. Nope, this will not end well. But it will end quickly, with the epitome of a ‘sickening thud’.

MMA will make you jump out of your seat more than any other sport. Not only do you see the action — a knockout or power slam — but you also hear the thud of the glove hitting the face or the body pound on the mat, plus the roar of the crowd.

But here’s another amazing way to look at a knockout. This is Edson Barboza’s spinning wheel kick on Terry Etim at UFC 142 in just four pictures. No sound, no video. It’s just as cool, just as stunning.

Nick Diaz lost a controversial decision to Carlos Condit in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and told Joe Rogan in a post-fight interview that he was done with MMA.

“I don’t need this s—. I pushed this guy backwards. He ran from me the whole fight. He ran this whole fight. I landed the harder shots. He ran the whole time. He kicked me in the leg with little baby leg kicks the whole fight. That’s the way they understand to win in here. I don’t want to play this game no more.”

Diaz pushed the pace in the fight for the UFC interim welterweight title, but Condit continually moved out of dangerous situations along the cage and back to the center where he could create some space and counter on Diaz’ strikes.

Condit told reporters that he thought he won the first four rounds, and UFC president Dana White said he thought Condit won the fight.

Whether Diaz will actually call it a career remains to be seen. He’s just 28 and you can bet that his contract does not allow him to move to boxing.

MMA hottie Ronda Rousey has taken the world of mixed martial arts by storm over the last year or so. Breaking arms, winning fights and being gorgeous are just a few of the ways she has thrilled fans.

But she recently posted this pic on Twitter, and it begs the question: cauliflower ear on a chick, hot or not?

You nibblin’ on those ears or taking a pass? Doesn’t matter. You’re not her type.

You may remember Josh Haynes from season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter. He did very well on the show, making it to the finals where he was finished by everyone’s favorite Brit Michael Bisping. Bisping won the season and went on to a solid UFC career.

Haynes went on to an interesting career. He kept fighting in the UFC for a while, then was cut and went on to fight in some lesser promotions. He also went on to other reality TV series.

Apparently he was on some show called, ‘Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge’. He is also a police officer in Las Vegas and is on yet another reality TV show, this time featured on ‘Vegas Strip’.

Wow — do they really need so many cops for a guy that took a swig of someone else’s beer? Seems pretty redonkulous. But good for Haynes. While he didn’t make it big in MMA, he’s got a solid gig and finds his way to the tee-vee on all these goofy shows.
