This list is bull… there is no way that Anderson Silva should be sixth… he is still the number one fighter in the world…. just because he ran through his whole division with ease they question the talent in the division… the UFC middle weight division is stacked… if you think back before Chris Leben fought him Chris was considered one of the top middle weights and he earned that spot… and how can anyone say he doesn’t finish fights… he is on an eleven fight win streak and still undefeated in the UFC and out of those only two of them have gone five rounds… and he also has five first round knockouts not to mention two of them were given to two top light heavyweights including former champ Forrest Griffin… a feat that neither current champ shogun or former champs rampage or Rashad Evans could accomplish… and lets not forget that he submitted Travis Lutter who was at a time arguably if not the best BJJ practitioner in the UFC he was definitely number two… and of the rest of his fights only one has gone past the second round… if that’s not a finisher i just don’t know what is now lets talk GSP… he without a doubt a rare and amazing fighter but still hasn’t accomplished anything to be considered the best… everyone keeps screaming that he finishes fights but that just isn’t the truth… yes he is on an impressive seven fight win streak but not one of them has been ended in the first round… as a matter of fact three of the seven have gone all five rounds… and of all of his 16 fights in the UFC seven of his fights went to decision and of the 16 he has only ended two of them in the first round… i will give him some credit for beating BJ Penn but lets not forget that BJ came up from the lightweight division out of his comfort zone to fight a bigger stronger GSP… if GSP had went down to lightweight those would have been different fights… in closing the point of this response is don’t get caught up in the right now… yes GSP has recently blown up in popularity but Silva has done nothing to be called anything but the best… people unjustifiably say that his division isn’t that deep so to silence the critics he moved up a weight class and scored not one but two KO’s… he’s taking on all challengers and showing the world that they don’t match-up… if you say his competition isn’t up to par you can’t blame him because that is Dana White and Joe Silva’s fault and its their responsibility to bring him tougher guys…
