The MMA lightweight division has always been talent laden, especially when Pride FC was thrown into the mix.

On a side note, whenever I read anything about MMA that mentions weight classes, it always reminds me that there are way too many weight classes in MMA (in my opinion), particularly in the U.S. (which is unfortunately controlled by State Athletic boxing Commissions. And that, of course, explains why American MMA’s horrendous 10-point must boxing scoring system continues to rob fighters left and right.
